Hello Parents,
Welcome to the 2022 St. Annies CYO Track Season!
I am extremely excited for this season and the best news is that kids will be able to run without any mask requirements! In addition, current planning for the season includes the return of the Penn Relays and the Archdiocesan Championships.
Practice will start this week on Wednesday and Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 at the Marple Newtown High School. I am still finalizing the times and locations for the remaining practices as we work around track availability. Practices will either be from 6:00 to 7:00 at MNHS or at 5:30 to 6:30 at the Delaware County Christian School (they don’t have lights).
Please make sure kids are wearing plenty of layers as it can be cold during these first couple of weeks. Running shoes aren’t necessarily required for the first few practices. I am also planning a parent meeting to go over a lot of the specifics of the program, the season and shoes, of course.
I see lots of new names on the team. No need to worry about not having any prior track experience. We start the season with conditioning while introducing them to various aspects of the sport.
I would ask for your patience as our team page for the 2022 season has not yet been set up due to some technical difficulties. Once available, communications and planning will be made from the team page. If you are new to our CYO program, you can also access our team page through the Sports Engine App. I can provide separate instructions if needed.
Please let me know if you have any immediate questions. I am also happy to introduce myself to new parents at the end of any practice.
Looking forward to a great season and working with your kids!
Go Spartans!
Kind Regards,
Bill Moreau

2019 Information
$1,100!
Congratulations! This was a 37% increase from what we collected last year!
The St. Vincent Depaul Society group at St. Anastasia meets on the second Monday of every month in the rectory. I had the pleasure of presenting them with a check for $1,100, the result of the teams hard work at the car wash that we held on Saturday
Aside from the kids getting each other wet, there is always a good story or two. In addition to the car wash, we added collection buckets on West Chester Pike.
And one of our runners discovered that pushing the cross walk button would change the light to red, providing addtional opportunity to collect some extra donations!
Another car wash client stepped out of his truck and said he just came from a contracting job and was given an extra tip for the day.
So he donated that extra tip to our efforts.
Thanks everyone for your generous efforts for the team service project!
Thanks,
Bill

Junior Boys - finished 36th out of 96 teams with a time of 101.68. That is 2 seconds faster than any time we have posted so far this year.
